Weekly classes
Wednesday 7.15pm Kathleen Ward Health Clinic, Loughmourne
Thursday 7.30pm Iontas, Castleblayney
Yin meaning soft, slow, relaxed - yang meaning higher energy, and a little more challenging. These classes are relaxed, beginner friendly, with options for the more experienced yogi. Expect a focus on the breath, long holds in the postures, mindful movement and a release of tension in the body & mind. An opportunity to tune inwards.

Pregnancy Yoga
The benefits of Yoga in Pregnancy have been well researched, and it is recommended to commence from your second trimester onwards. Pregnancy Yoga is about taking time to move your body in nourishing ways as you grow your little baby (or babies). Research has shown it helps reduce stress in pregnancy, it alleviates physical tensions and strains in the body, and it prepares you for labour & birth with useful positions, breathwork & mindset. It also offers you some time to connect with your baby and other mothers around you too.
Having trained with Melissa Curtis in The Elbowroom, Dublin in 2023, whilst pregnant with Baby no.2 myself - I am very excited to share with you the yoga practices that I have learned about, as well as offering you a welcoming space to look after your body & mind during this transitional time in your life. I am so passionate about resilience in motherhood, and I would love to help you prepare for the wonders that lay ahead.

Mum&Baby Yoga
This class is recommended from at least 6 weeks after having baby and when you’ve been given clearance by your GP to return to activities such as yoga. I urge you to listen to your own body here, and note that the 6 week mark is a benchmark - go with how you feel!
I became very passionate about supporting mothers in their postnatal period, a time of huge transition known as Matrescence (like adolescence, but as mothers!) after I had my first baby in 2020. This class will focus on the physical rehabilitation of the mother’s body, and the development of your baby - but what I hope you take away is a feeling of resilience, support and tools to help you navigate this period of your life. This class is 90minutes to give time to tend to baby’s needs when they arise, and to connect with other mothers along the way. Light refreshments will be served at the end as we get to know each other a little more.
